Anthony Raggs
Anthony T. Raggs joins the SC2 Implementation Team as the SC2-Strategic Initiatives Manager, reporting to Director of Strategic Initiatives and also works closely with/ receives guidance from the SC2 Director of Implementation and SC2 Project Manager. In this role, Tony’s position will primarily be responsible to develop and maintain a CVI Dashboard strategy for each SC2 community to inform hiring practices, violence reduction strategy, participant recruitment, safety assessment, budget implications, strategic collaboration and etc. Prior to joining EC, Tony has held leadership positions with several violence prevention agencies and non-profit organizations, serving as Outreach Supervisor, Program Manager and Senior Manager of Community Engagement. He is a dedicated public servant; his journey began over 40 years ago following the tragic loss of his sister in a domestic violence incident. Throughout his career, Tony has achieved numerous accomplishments and received awards in the field of violence prevention. Additionally, he has obtained certifications in 40 Hour Domestic Violence, Red-Flag Relationships, and Trauma Informed Care. In 2018 he graduated from the Metropolitan Peace Academy cohort 1, in 2021 he graduated from the Golden Institute’s Chicago Peace Fellows cohort 3. The last position he held was with ALSO (Alliance of Local Service Organizations) Senior Manager of Community Engagement. In his, free time, Tonys hobbies and interests are music, entertainment, visual arts, creative writing, and spoken word.
